Andover Chess Club
The Andover Chess Club was founded in January 2015 by Mike Henroid and Xiaolin Jiang to provide a club for players in the Merrimack Valley and surrounding areas the opportunity to learn and play chess. Beginning with the 2019-2020 season, the club is coordinated by Melissa Thatcher and International Master, David Vigorito.

The club is open to players of all abilities in grades K through 8th.

The club runs casual games, as well as monthly quick chess quad tournaments. Special events like Master Simuls, blitz chess and rated tournaments are also offered.

The ACC is an affiliate member of the United States Chess Federation (USCF).

The ACC meets Friday evenings at 7pm in St. Rita's Hall (basement of St. Augustine's Church), located at 35 Essex Street, Andover, MA

Annual membership fee $30 per individual, $40 per family, which fee goes toward the cost of tournament trophies, website expenses, and space donation.

St. Augustine's Church kindly allows the ACC to use its facilities at no charge. In appreciation, at the end of each season the ACC makes a donation from remaining ACC funds to the Church to defray its costs.
